I don't know, this seems to me more like plummeting than flying.

Flying is falling with style, anyway.
How about characters with angel and bat wings?
You know what I seldom see? Head-wings! Feathers behind the ear are okay I guess, but a good set of head-wings is what's on order today. I only have this to start, but I'm going to keep looking. Show me what you can find in the mean time :)
If you look closely, the hair "extends" to wings.

I had a dream once. I was falling through a perfect blue sky, with wisps of cloud here and there far far up. Down below me was a perfect blue sea, dotted with a few small islands that showed no sign of human habitation.I know I wasn't flying in the traditional sense, or at all, but that dream was beautiful. I have never felt so serenely calm. Just being in free fall through that beautiful place.Picture kind of related. If my dream had actually allowed me a significant drop in altitude, rather than perpetual falling at the same height, then this is the kind of tropical paradise I would very quickly have become acquainted with.Anyone else had pleasant dreams of flying/falling?

Post pictures of our favorite Crow Tengu please!
>>1995 A tengu is a sort of japanese crow goblin. Famous for causing trouble, play tricks on humans and for being great swordsfighters. This one looks more friendly, though. And lacks the trademark tengu nose (thankfully).

>>2001Actually, there are two types of tengu. The goblin-like one, which is the one you described, and a crow-like one, which Aya is based on. It looks like ZUN did a good job on adaptating. Also, the crow-tengu don't have long noses.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tengu

>>2032From Wikipedia: "The earliest tengu were pictured with beaks, but this feature has often been humanized as an unnaturally long nose, which today is practically the tengu's defining characteristic in the popular imagination."After skimming the article with particular attention for mention of crow-related Tengu, I was unable to find information to support your claim. This leads me to suspect that ZUN really just didn't think a long nose would be becoming of a pretty girl, so he chose to leave it out. If I'm wrong, please feel free to point me in the direction of documents that say otherwise.

Aya!
Screw you guys!
Needs more flying, but a great pic anyway
>>2039 You fail a Skimming. Read the article!>>Daitengu are often pictured in a more human-like form than their underlings, and due to their long noses, they may also called hanatakatengu (鼻高天狗, tall-nosed tengu?). Kotengu may conversely be depicted as more bird-like. They are sometimes called karasu-tengu (烏天狗, crow tengu?), or koppa- orkonoha-tengu (木葉天狗, 木の葉天狗foliage tengu?).[19] Inoue Enryō described two kinds of tengu in his Tenguron: the great daitengu, and the small, bird-like konoha-tengu who live in Cryptomeria trees. The konoha-tengu are noted in a book from 1746 called the Shokoku Rijin Dan (諸国里人談?), as bird-like creatures with wings two meters across which were seen catching fish in the Ōi River, but this name rarely appears in literature otherwise.[20]
